Bud had surgery to repair a shoulder problem (torn labrum? not sure..) last year. He was released by the Phillies last week, and I believe is available for anyone who wants to take a flyer on him.

Wrong. He was placed on waivers (because he's out of options) and sent to AAA. No team claimed him. He's the Phillies property for a long time, if they want.

Any team that claimed him would have had to either work out a trade or keep Bud on the ML roster all year.

He's practiced there and played one game last year, but I think they'll need him more in the outfield, as none of our outfield guys are good bets to play 150 games.
Agreed, but with rayray and emil...maybe womack and anderson can give us more packaged with a haren in a trade.

anyway, just specualtion. I am not convinced So can get on base enough to lead off, and if he hits at teh back of the lineup, I would rather have womack or anderson at 2b.

    Kaiser,

I'm warming up to the idea of the Squire signing a 10 year extension.

    What do you think?

Yet apparently the 2003 bench turned out to be spectacular, at least in moonglow retrospect.
That's the interesting thing; it wasn't. Without thinking, I think Perez was the only one to post an OPS higher than .700.

    So T. intrigues me...Can he play 2b.

    Kaiser doesn't even sponsor anyone.

    That's how real he is.

I am thinking he might be a cubs fan.

Oh, OK then. I'm really sorry. I'll never do that again.

BTW, I now think think TLR, wait - Mr. La Russa has a better chance of bringing the Cardinals a pennant that any other individual in baseball.

Go Mr. La Russa!! Go Cards!!!!!!!!!

Damtoft? Razzy? You guys want Kaiser back?
I don't think they do. When I was Faction Emperor, I cracked down pretty hard on some rebellious Factioneers. They resent me and fear me.

But it was for their own good.

Hey, Reggie, he's doing it again!

I'll try to handle this one myself:

RBB: I respect your position, but I would rather you not call me whipping boy.

    Thank you.

Gee, Reggie, that reply seems kind of angry. Not really my style. Is that really necessary?

What about if I just respond: "I would rather you not call me names."
