  • Inspired Blues elevate game with playoffs @ stake

Tuesday night at Savvis Center, the Blues and visiting Edmonton Oilers gave the fans a sneak preview of the Stanley Cup playoffs. A crowd of 19,646 saw how good the National Hockey League can be when the teams play with pride, passion and purpose.

Its always a catch-22 w/ my fellow Blues fans when reading Bernie's articles:

    1) When its positive, the Blues fans eat up as gospel, that nothing is wrong and we're going places....

    2) When its negative, Bernie doesn't know shiza aboot hockey and should stick to football, not to mention the personal insults that usually follow....

    I guess today is a 'one-day'....

007, not sure which part makes you an asscake.

The fact that you read Bernie.

      Or

The fact that you link his shit.

Good job on singing the Blues' praises to Bernie. I figured there would be some interesting tidbit from spring training or some Carl Poston banter to write about instead.

All still isn't well, after all we're in the 7th seed, double-oh. My complaint always has been that I see his Blues articles about how bad we are, and hopefully this can start putting it to rest.

You should post this kind of stuff earlier in the day James. I guess the anti-Miklasz folks aren't out of bed yet and you actually get some hockey discussion.

I guess Bernie doesn't hate the Blues after all.

The thing that Bernie and Mike had right tonight was the fact that the Blues played with emotion and a sense of urgency. I haven't seen that type of play from them all year until last night.

I think it's a virtual impossiblitity for them to continue this stuff for a month and a half, much less another a week or two.

I just don't have any faith in them. The team just doesn't have that sort of personality. Wish they did, but last night was the ONLY time I've seen some balls on these guys all year.

Sorry to be so negative. I'd LOVE to see them go somewhere, but this is one of those years where my heart and mind are in line with one another i.e. I don't even 'think' they can get past the first round, in my most optimistic imagination.
