  • Sports Illustrated Jinx?

Gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated for the April edition, Kerry Wood, along with the publication's bold prediction that the teddy bears will win it all, and Hell is in the expediated process of freezing over.

Meanwhile, here in Chicago sports talk radio is abuzz, rumors abound, and finger nails have apparently become an essential food group with all the worried speculation of the dreaded jinx.
"Let me lay it right on the line. Bigotry and racism are among the deadliest social ills plaguing the world today. The only way to destroy them is to expose them. If man is ever to be worthy of his destiny, we must fill our hearts with tolerance.- Stan Lee (circa 1968)

Picking the Cubs to win the Series at any point in the season is insane, even if they go 162-0.

If you jinx a jinxed team, does that mean they are no longer jinxed?

        No.

There are no "loopholes" in jinxes. This has been scientifically proven by the Cubs.

Not in the case of the Cubs.

It worked for Wood before the Braves series last year.......you never know.

I think they were on it sometime in June too......and they certainly didn't collapse down the stretch. Instead, they collapsed at the finish line. <_<

Cubs should be on all 52 issues, they are already f'ed according to the supernatural.

SI did cause Bartman last year, though.

No, but the teams chasing them sure did.

They were on earlier and were okay, and Wood was on in the playoffs, on a double issue that had Pedro on the other edition, and they both lost it, eerie.

Also, Bartman is in an SI pic of the Leading Off section of the Wood SI, thus jinxing him.
