  • Prior's elbow

    http://www.suntimes.com/output/sport...spt-cub30.html

The Cubs, who ordered Prior back home for an in-depth examination of his right elbow and right Achilles tendon, hadn't publicly addressed Prior's elbow issues. An MRI on Prior's elbow showed no damage to the medial collateral ligament or ulnar nerve. Prior also had a bone scan on the back of his elbow, where he has experienced discomfort and stiffness during his bullpen throwing sessions this spring. The bone scan revealed no hidden stress fractures.

I am one of those fantasy owners, and that is only my second biggest problem with this.

Baker, just like La Russa, is not a young pitcher's manager.

But...but...but....I thought it was preordained that the Cubs would win the division. What's the big deal?

Once again, the Cubs haven't had back to back winning seasons since 1971-72.

            They're still the Cubs.

Cubs survived last Aug without Prior and were with a weaker pen and no Maddux, so we can handle this, especially in a soft division.

I believe they'll have a winning season -- question is, will that be enough.

Actually this article is good news for the most part. No breaks, no ligament damage, just pain and stiffness. Anything like that and he could've been out MUCH longer.

Did you get a new manager or something?

Oh, I'm not always like this.......I'm taken more than my share of digs at the Blues this year. Fully deserved, too.

By the way, Pujols isn't in the Cards' lineup today.....

                        Game is on ESPN2.

You have a right to be down on the Blues.

Is AP hurt? It really is the only way to level the division, you know.
