The Cubs, who ordered Prior back home for an in-depth examination of his right elbow and right Achilles tendon, hadn't publicly addressed Prior's elbow issues. An MRI on Prior's elbow showed no damage to the medial collateral ligament or ulnar nerve. Prior also had a bone scan on the back of his elbow, where he has experienced discomfort and stiffness during his bullpen throwing sessions this spring. The bone scan revealed no hidden stress fractures.
