IMO, the "Motown sound" has to rank in the top five influences of modern music.

Marvin Gaye, Temptations, Supremes, Four Tops, Smokey Robinson & the Miracles, Jackson Five, Martha Reeves and the Vandallas, and many many others have had a MAJOR impact on our culture.

If Motown doesn't make the FINAL FOUR, there's some sorry assed SOB's around these parts.

As to if a Motown singer/act makes it...well, that is up to the pollers...

Remember, these are the asscakes that voted Elish Skankbert into the LTOH...and almost beat LaTitties...
