Bernie's Self Column

This is classic stuff. I have no loyalties to any college team, but it seems to me that Mizzou picked the wrong guy.

I'm sure you guys will set me straight.

Look, Missouri coach Quin Snyder can't beat Self. It was like that when Self was at Illinois and coached Snyder's hair off in the annual Bragging Rights game. Self's relocation to Kansas this season did not diminish his domination or temper his competitive intensity; Self and KU personally knocked Quin and the Tigers out of consideration for the NCAA Tournament this year. Self won the last men's game ever played at Hearnes, and he did it with Norm Stewart looking on. It was almost cruel.

My only question is this, and I know it's been asked before:

Why doesn't Bernard drop this kind of hammer on Martz?

Most assuredly...Mizzou should have hired Bill Self when they had the chance. BIG MISTAKE!
