  • Woody Williams' tendonitis

I haven't seen another post on this, so I'm sorry if I missed it.

    Williams Story

But this tendonitis seems like it could be a huge story. These things seem to contradict:

"Nobody has concerns, serious concerns, that spring training and the early season will be affected," manager Tony La Russa said before Saturday's workout.
Williams said he began experiencing "a little stab" in his shoulder shortly after beginning workouts in Houston last November. He notified team orthopedist Dr. George Paletta. Rest was prescribed. When Williams tried to throw last month, it still hurt.
So, resting from November to February wasn't enough? And they think from now untill late March will do it?

And, the info was released immediately after Maddux is tucked safely away in Chicago.

    Pricks.
And, frankly, it has never occured to me that "winning" a debate is important, or that I should be hurt when someone like Airshark or kah, among others (for whom winning a pseudo debate or declaring intellectual superiority over invisible others is obviously very important) ridicule me.

      I am not worried.

      It doesn't matter anyway.

I about fell out of my chair when I read that he first had troubles in November and the team prescribed rest. Then I remembered DK's surgery and how that was handled.

If it didn't get better in the last three months what are the odds it will in the next three?

I tend to agree with pgrote anyway. JJ.

Amazing that there is anyone left to defend these hacks.

The Williams thing doesn't surprise me.

Neither does TLR's quote. Oh well.

So we're blaming LaRussa for this, right? And ignoring the fact that a doctor told Williams to rest?

Do y'all blame LaRussa when it rains?

I'd be worried if I thought the Cards had a chance.

But yes, I had the same reaction to find out that the "stab" started in November and still lingers.

I especially like the spin about him being a veteran and not needing spring training to get ready.

Why? That's pretty much what Maddux said last week.

                      Is Maddux injured?

No. There is a big difference between Maddux and Woody.
