  • Lankford cements roster spot for Opening Day

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - When spring training began for the Cardinals, the odds of Ray Lankford riding around Busch Stadium in an open-air car on April 5 were about as remote as oh, say, Nevada winning the NCAA basketball title.

Very cool, I am no Cards fan as you may know, but him coming "home" is cool.

Ray was hitting the ball very hard when I was there. I got a really good feeling from seeing him at the plate.

And the other night when the Marlins walked Krob, and I figured out that Ray was coming up, I kinda had a feeling that he was going to be able to drive in a run or two.

Good vibes rule. I hope he can carry this over to the regular season. He seems to be doing better than I thought he could.

So, who will be the starting LF opening day? Also, can anyone elaborate on the platoons we'll have to endure this season? I hate platoons.

The letter writing campaign to get Brown a bench spot seems to be going okay.

Now, what the hell are we going to do about 2nd base?

                      Far,

I was underwhelmed by a lot regarding 2b.

But you probably knew that, huh?

Rennie is pathetic, guys, as we've talked about before.

I gave him a week before I pronounced him DOA as far as I was concerned.

Local sports in this city has gone even further downhill than I thought possible.

And what does Ch4 do with their best guy? Send him packing and following the Illini. Which, don't get me wrong, I appreciate, but send that worm McKernan.

Vaughn is the best in StL in my opinion.
When you say to your neighbor, "We're having a loud party on Saturday night if that's alright with you," what you really mean is, "We're having a loud party on Saturday night."
