and when I think of Batman, as a hero in the DC comics world, eventually people would want to see the Flash and all that. they are already asking for it on Smallville. There was a really cool comic caled 'Sandman Mystery Theatre' that was about a 1940's Justice Society hero, The Sandman. He was basically an elderly detective type who solved crimes with a gas gun and a grapple. He wore a gas mask. It was a very pulp fiction/film noir comic. Whenever he interacted with other Justice Society types, the Green Lantern, the Flash et al, all the superheroics occured off panel. It was a neat idea.

    Slu,

TV series if done right, could be awesome. So could a movie.
see, I think there is way too much to do a movie. A movie eventually has to end because the franchise makes so much money the actors demand over the top salaries. That only happens on TV shows after a few years. I really think the popularity of over the top cop shows, and CSI would flow together nicely in a Batman show. He is the 'World's Greatest Detective' and a martial artist, and a super hero. If it was shot with a kind of film noir meets pulp fiction feel, it could be cool.

Anyone see a parallel between Keaton and Brendon Frasier? Big heroes in 2 action movies, then do nothing but retarded, supposedly funny movies the rest of thier life.
It’s a shame, because I actually thought Michael Keaton was pretty good. He held his own in Jackie Brown, was hilarious in the cameo in Out of Sight, Beetlejuice is a classic, and don’t get me started on The Dream Team.

I think they've both just made shitty, for the money, decisions. Frasier was great in Gods and Monsters, but generally plays shitty comedy roles. Keaton is a pretty nuanced actor, but goes for the easy laugh.

WTF ever happened to Keaton? Last thing I remember him being in was Jackie Brown.
he's pretty good in an HBO movie Live, From Baghdad.

I agree. The thing with Batman Villans, and Spider Man villans too, was a human, machivellian quality. That said, I don't think you can flush that out in two hours. I really think a weekly series, with two hour bookends on the season, could kick ass.
