Blues Freeze Season Ticket Prices For 2004-2005
ST. LOUIS, March 24, 2004 - The St. Louis Blues today announced there will be no price increase for Blues season tickets - fulls and partials - for the 2004-2005 season.
The news means Blues fans will not incur an increase in the price of their season tickets for the third consecutive year. Season ticket prices were also held flat, or lowered, in 2002-2003 and the current 2003-2004 season.
The Blues' average net ticket price this season is $36.89, which in the NHL ranks 29th out of 30 teams.
"Blues fans have clearly shown us over recent years that ticket price levels are very important in their decisions to attend games," Blues president Mark Sauer said in a letter mailed to season ticket holders this week. "We have responded with the second lowest ticket prices in the entire NHL."
The letter to season ticket holders also shared two refund options should the NHL experience a labor stoppage this fall - one offering refunds for canceled, unplayed games plus 4 percent interest on outstanding balances; and another offering 10 percent interest in "Blues Bucks" redeemable for tickets, food, beverages and merchandise at Blues games upon the end of a work stoppage, if any. Further details on both options were outlined in the letter to season ticket holders. Visit the Blues website to read the letter sent to season ticket holders.
The pricing and terms on full and partial season ticket holders will be offered to existing and new Blues season ticket holders. Renewal forms will be mailed to new season ticket holders in the coming weeks. For more information, call (not giving them any business but I"m sure you can figure it out).
