  • A goal for any man who calls himself a baseball fa

    http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...e=murphy/040322

A hilarious article. Beer wouldn't be the problem, I don't know about 9 hot dogs though. Just the thought is repulsive. Regardless, this is my new goal in life and one that everybody here should try and conquer as well.

I could do 15 beers and two dogs, or six dogs and a soda, but nine and nine are out for me. "A man's got to know his limitations". JJ.

Nine beers would have to be the 12oz kind, not the tall boys I usually drink at the game. Nine dogs? I'm sure I could do it, but would it be worth it? I'd most likely be sick as a dog. Hmmm, I really like ballpark franks though :P I prefer the kind that the roaming vendors sell- pre-mustarded and a little soggy from sitting in the box they carry around.

I have done the beer/inning before. I should add I was in a suite, where the beer was free, and they were the 12 oz cans, not the jumbo beers you buy. I will also add that I didn't drive home that night, and there were 2 innings of 3-up, 3-down, so that really sped things up a bit.

hot dog/inning - no thanks, I'll pass. 1/game is enough for me. B)

I'd try that at home as I'm less inclined to hurl in a public latrine(sp).

I tried a beer an inning and I found it to be very difficult. Unless Tomko was on the mound.

Actually, it was pre Tomko that I tried it. It was the game that Brian Jordan tossed me a baseball cos I kept saying HI to him (we were sitting by the Cards dugout).

Ya know I could do that back when I was going to minor league games in the Carolina League no problems...but the beer was cheaper too!

CG, that was Jordan's way to say "I got to make this gal shut up"

That's about what my friends said too, Guppy.

They said that he was throwing the ball AT me and not TO me.

The only way that I'll do this is at a Grizzlies game... it's a whole lot cheaper....

You know it man! When I was going to Kinston Indians games, I could get a 16 oz beer for 2.50.

Can I sub Mountain Dew for Beer?

Either, this is easy in the TLR Dunc era. When you slow down in the late innings, so do they.
