Missouri will need to win 9 games or more for him to win the Heisman.

But, is he fun to watch or what?

I think they have to win the Big 12 north, which is doable but the Nebraska game will be tough. He is getting the necessary preseason hype to be in the voters' minds all season though.

I'm ready for football season to start. The one thing I love about college football is how every game is a playoff game. I look forward to talking about all the games all season...the season can't get here fast enough.

I liked seeing Steve Breaston make the Top 100. The guy is electric and the receiving core is going to be a huge key to Michigan's success in 2004 as they'll have a first-year starter at running back and quarterback. I'm also interested in seeing how Zwick does in running the Ohio State offense.

Brad Smith is as electrifying a player as there is in college football but my preseason Heisman favorite is Matt Leinart. If they handed out the Heisman after the bowl games, I have no doubt that he would've won and though he'll have to deal with two new receivers, his top three running backs are coming back and SC is probably second only to Miami in terms of their talent and ability to re-load.

I think the best player in the country is David Pollack.

I concur on Leinart. He has to be the favorite going in .
