Well, I don't know what TLR said, but somebody has to back up 1B, unless Pujols turns into Cal Ripken and plays every inning of every game.

I really doubt they'll carry six outfielders. Unless, perhaps, they think Vaughn can serve as the backup first baseman.

Anderson will be backup infielder until Womack arrives, at which point he's toast.

Tony says they don't need a backup 1b, since Albert will play all the time.

I see Mckay being gone, but I think they'll load up on outfielders.

I hope I'm wrong -- unless krob is sent packing, which would be tremendous.

Then K-Rob goes down to AAA? Surely they're not going to keep six outfielders--Sanders, Edmonds, Lankford, Taguchi, KRob, and Vaughn? Throw in Widger as a backup catcher, and that leaves precisely one guy left on the bench, unless they carry 11 pitchers. I figure Lankford is probably a lock and will start in left. That would seem to leave So, KRob, and Vaughn fighting for two spots.

I'd love to see So make the team. Better than Vaughn by a damn sight. And you have to respect a guy who's been willing to stay in the minors and work, when he could have gone back to Japan whenever he liked.
