  • DEADWOOD

Starts tonight on HBO. Any of you gonna be watching it?

I think its on after the Sopranos.

Its about the wild west and particularly Deadwood, South Dakota. It'll show true stories about what went on in that town and show the likes of Wild Bill Hickok.

I cant wait. I traveled to Deadwood a few years ago, and its a great tourist town.

The only knock I have heard on this show is that the F word is used a TON. Something like 12 times in 10 minutes? I love that stuff anyway!

    Its not TV, its HBO.
When you say to your neighbor, "We're having a loud party on Saturday night if that's alright with you," what you really mean is, "We're having a loud party on Saturday night."

Sparrow--I've noticed. When you're on your game, your posts skillfully combine profanity and brevity in a way that reminds me a bit of Dennis Leary.

When you're not I just assume you're drunk. JJ.

I've knocked a few back in Saloon #10.

Anyone remember what cards were in the Dead Man's Hand?

Black aces and black eights is right. I was told up there (deadwood) that the nine of clubs was the other card, but it's always been a subject of debate. The old Franklin Hotel in Deadwood has a good bar too. Sturgis is about 10 miles down the canyon.

Lots of places list the 5th card as the 9 of diamonds...

Any one see this show last night?

It started off very slowly. It picked up at the end.

Wild Bill is a beast! This is a typical HBO show. Tons of cussing. And among all else, it will win awards and raise eyebrows no matter how shitty it really is.

Why? Because its "elite" and only few people have HBO.

I will watch the next two eps to decide if I will follow this show.

                          It better improve tremendously.
