  • Is there an article yet about Woody being hurt?

Or is it just something someone heard on the radio or tv?
    "They misunderestimated me."

Right. I guess it was too much for the Cards management to handle.

Walt Jocketty, on September 29, 2004, explaining the Cardinals inability to contend during the season:

"Well, Woody's shoulder was a bit tight during the spring and that set him back, and he wasn't ready to go opening day. We thought he'd be ready by May but he had a set back, so we targeted the all-star break but he had another set back, so at that point, we decided it was in everyone's best interests to just shut him down for the year."

Notice how Maddux is safely tucked away in Chicago before the disclosure.
And, frankly, it has never occured to me that "winning" a debate is important, or that I should be hurt when someone like Airshark or kah, among others (for whom winning a pseudo debate or declaring intellectual superiority over invisible others is obviously very important) ridicule me.
