If you're a masochist with a plumbing problem (flooding and water heater problems here since last night) just call A.J. Hoffmann & Sons Plumbing at 636-271-2424. These people advertise that they are 'fast' 'reliable' and 'dependable'.
The 'VERY LATEST' (I was told today) is that they'd be here by 3:30. At 4 o'clock I was told "I'll be there within the hour."
At 5:30 I called and was told, "I'm running late and it may be as late as 7:30".
At 8:00 I called and was told, "Running a bit late but I'm in the neighborhood next to yours and will be there within the next 25 minutes to half-hour."
At 10:00 I called and was told, "Just about to finish, will be there shortly and if there is any delay I'll call you."
He never called and at 11:30 I called him only for him to tell me, "Running late and I don't know how long it will be."
I called a different plumber who will be here at 8 a.m. (hopefully).
Forget the Better Business Bureau. They're useless. Just a word to the wise for my friends on here, avoid this A.J. Hoffman outfit like the plague.
