  • Ate Dinner across from Kurt Warner tonight

Only went there because my son loves the place.

Got there, get seated and I look up and see this spiky haired she-beast. She wasn't made up like normal, but still recognizable. Look over and it's KW. He looks at me, I nod and smile and he does the same. Kind of cool that he's nice and stuff.

    Few observations

    1. Saw him at the Uno's in Chesterfield during the 99 season. He was there with Ernie Conwell and his family. The guy could hardly eat because of the people coming up to shake his hand. Tonight, no one said a word to him. Interesting?
    2. Am I reading too much into the fact that he dropped his fork multiple times?
    3. It's unfortunate, because he was a great quarterback, and still is a nice guy. On his way out, he said hello to my son and patted him on the head. Shook my hand, said hi to my wife and mother in law. Whether it is here or somewhere else, I'm still kind of rooting for him to have just one more good season.

That's my report from the loudest restaurant in the world.

    Peace out.

There is no doubt that he is a world-class guy when it comes to being nice and affable..

A major reason why I like him so much...and backed him to the last...

Just wish he could still perform at his previous levels...

Nice touch about dropping the fork..that was just mean...

      Wonder where A.J. Bulger was??

        More blonde. Far less makeup.

I'm seriously not trying to be mean about it. But he did drop the fork alot. I'm a clutz, but I don't drop my silverware that much - maybe once or twice a month.

While we are sharing Kurt Warner-related stories, I'll share this one regarding Brenda and him.....(Dev knows this story and can vouch for it)...

One fine Sunday during the summer, the Warners go shopping @ the Dierberg's right by their house (think Clarkson); the two stroll in to the store and go to the Customer Service desk seeking the store manager on duty (actually it was Brenda, not Kurt)...

To make a long story short: Brenda asks the manager (who's a friend of our family) if they can 'close down an aisle' everytime they enter so they can shop in peace...well, the manager just flat out told her: "M'am, we'd love to be able to do that, but we have people just as 'famous' as your husband and we don't close it off for them, so we won't be doing the same for you."

Needless to say, Brenda wasn't too happy, but Kurt didn't say a word the whole time, almost embarrassed by the whole thing...

On another occasion, Kurt went shopping w/ his son and essentially apologized to the manager and shopped without being disturbed with only the occasional hello....

                good ole Brenda...

I will share a good Kurt story...

My oldest sister who live in St. Louis does a lot of work with DASA (Disabled childrens charity). Kurt has taken to the program due to his son's disbaility and my sister has met with him many of times. She has told me that Kurt has offered his support by signing footballs, helmets, autographed pics...everything for free and donates a considerable sum of money every year to their annual auction.

A few years back..I had my sister bid on a helmet, football and autogrpahed lithograph of KW...they are now mainstays in my study...

He is a classy guy...regardless of Brenda

I always thought Warner was a classy guy but the antics at the church in Houston definitely has me reconsidering my position.

When in denial, you grab anything you can to try and rationalize the situation you're in.

                        I believe that's Kurt.
