      I am hoping against it.

Have the Basques directly attacked innocent folks before? I am completely unfamiliar with the history there.

This doesn't surprise me too much. While ETA is a terrorist group, there past style has been to warn of attacks before they happened. No warning seems to have been given here.

It's brutal. What's alarming is it could happen there or here pretty easily.

Maybe it is ETA, emulating the Chechyns. I don't know.

Coincidentlally, I just realized: it is March 11.

                  OK, I am reaching.

It also strikes me that an attack of this magnitude on Spanish Civilians would do nothing to help ETAs cause. That though is just pure speculation.

That's what I was thinking too though it seems to be getting the Chechyns some attention.

(I need to look up the spelling of that word)

It would be so easy here to do something on a HUGE scale, it's scary.

I mean even now after we are supposed to be aware and prepared.

                              Fox News (AP I think):

A van with detonators and an Arabic-language tape of Koranic verses were found near Madrid, Interior Minister Angel Acebes said Thursday, opening new lines of investigation into the train bombings. So far, the probe has focused on the Basque separatist terror group ETA
