I think I'll watch the NBA on TNT doubleheader instead.
Or the Senators-Flames game, which I think is the best game on the schedule tonight.Official 2014-15 Lounge Sponsor ofJori Lehterä

I'll be at tonight's game... pre-game drinks at Krieger's in Union Station. The east-side has not been ruled out as a possibility for post-game plans.
Inquire within if interested and going to the game....Official sponsor of Mike Shannon's Retirement Party

Goold's "morning skate" thread from the cesspool.
Folks,
Some quick notes from this morning skates held at Savvis Center.
- Savage arrived and skated. He'll play the wing on Doug Weight's line. As requested by dragonwyck here are the possible lines for tonight's game ... subject to change, more on that later:
Tkachuk-Cajanek-Demitra
Savage-Weight-Mellanby
Drake-Sillinger-Rycroft
Mayers-R. Johnson-Low
- Baron is out with the flu. Lost a lot of weight. Hasn't skated in awhile. He, of course, spoke about Bertuzzi and stuff this morning. Check the local news and tomorrow's paper for his thoughts.
- With Baron out, the Blues still have seven defensemen. All will probably take the pregame skate and then a decision will be made on who will play. Kitchen said a few are game-time decisions.
- So Nashville's GM when asked said it's the biggest game in franchise history. Coach Barry Trotz doesn't want it drummed up like that. There are still 12 games after it so, if either teams loses tonight's game they're still in it. Truth be told, it's a bigger game for the Blues than it is Nashville. Why? Because the Blues can avoid a three-point gap with the Preds with a win or tie. It's important to keep the gap to less than three points because the Blues still play Nashville again -- and as you all know three points would erase the possibility of catching the Preds with that game.
- Osgood is in. That goes without saying.
- Vokoun is in. Savage played with him in Montreal. Said he probably didn't score a goal on him in practice.
- Here's a point made by Sillinger: It's not a coincidence that Savage's best games this season came against St. Louis. The Blues skate, Sillinger said. Savage excels in a skate game. Nashville has changed its team enough recently to hint they will skate too -- even with their self-anointed rivals the Blues. That could play into Savage's best skill, Sillinger thought.
- Thought the last line of Bernie's column today was, to borrow a favorite phrase heard around the rink this season, bang-on.
- Big three games.
- Look no further than the fact the Blues have won three in row yet while they didn't play they slipped from eighth to ninth. All that, and sixth is still quite possible for the Blues. And now the playoffs looked as jumbled as ever. Is there is a bad draw? Detroit, right? And ...
More if I think of it. Back to paperwork.
