Not enough emphasis on The Pet Goat, IMO.

Posted this yesterday and, obviously, it got ignored. Since there is a debate raging in at least one other thread about terrorism, I thought I'd bump this into the fray.

HERE'S a great place to start. Enjoy!!!

Goalie - the link you provided was good, but I think everyone is burnt out on the 9/11 argument. This board moves so quickly, things only last a day or two.

          1972:
==May.--- > [•] US President Nixon promises to provide the Shah with any non-nuclear weapons he desires, and Iran soon begins an immense military buildup. At the same time, the CIA is developing close links with the Savak, the Shah's brutal security agency. With Iran awash in oil revenues for the next five years, the regime is becoming overconfident and the Shah is showing signs of megalomania. In 1973 he tells a reporter: “My visions are miracles that saved the country. My reign saved the country, and it had done so because God is on my side.” [hiro3]

At this point, I am shocked that some people in this forum didn't blame the Republican Party for stockpiling weopens to the Islamic State of Iran which ultimately lead to the Hostage Crisis and terrorism.
Jimmy Buffett quote of the week:

"Open season on the open seas and Captain says no prisoners please. Skull and crossbones on a background of black. We ain't stealin' we're just takin' back ."

          - Jimmy Buffett, Take it Back, Boats, Beaches, Bars and Ballads Box Set

"Now, she should be good-looking, but we're willing to trade looks for a certain... morally casual attitude."

                  Not to Kerry it isn't.

He says the threat is exaggerated.

Terrorism is so uncool. Clinton never had a problem with terrorists, you know!

Oh, so you're saying Clinton wasn't concerned with terrorists and / or terrorism?

Ol Clinton might have been mucho concerned, he was concerned about everything, at least that is what he always told all us folks, but WTF did he do about them?

After all, wasn't he the most powerful man in the world for like 8 years?
