Just like the liberals funding social programs, such as welfare, section 8, the arts, amtrack, and God only knows how many other money pits.

I challenge you to name 3 VALID reasons for blowing all this money on space exploration

Computer technology, microwave, and satellite reception were just three of the advances made during the 60's and 70's.....

Who in the F ever heard of that technology before the last great space exploration?

What the fuck does that have to do with wasting all this money NOW? This isn't the 60's or the 70's. Aren't there bigger issues here on EARTH where we LIVE that should be dealt with instead of dropping money into a program that serves no practical use now?

So, are you saying that the only way to deal with our problems on Earth is to throw more money at it?

I'm saying I'm not going to get all pumped up about an incredibly costly plan that was designed as the ultimate diversion from the problems on earth... shifting the focus to another planet.

Don't tell me you don't believe this is a smokescreen to take the public eye off of every other one of bushes fuckups.

                      glen,

I've been a huge fan of space exploration since I was a sprout. Afterall, I grew up about eighty miles from "Space City" better known as Houston. When I served in the USAF, I was assingned to the Johnson Space Center.

Now you know where I'm coming from.

A lot more comes from spending money on space exploration than giving it to crack whores on welfare.

I say, let me keep more of MY OWN DAMN money.

How can one possibly be that shortsighted?
When you say to your neighbor, "We're having a loud party on Saturday night if that's alright with you," what you really mean is, "We're having a loud party on Saturday night."

Hey glen, forget about the wasting money part, this is just silly.

Do yo know how long in advance these things are started and planned. That is a pretty elaborate scheme.

You realize that these current dicoveries are not even funded by Bush's new so-called proposal.
