  • Bush vs. Kerry: What's your reason to vote?

Is it a passion for your man's policies and stances on issues, or, is it a dislike of the other?

I'm mindless. I vote a straight Republican ticket.

      Both right down the middle.

Bush is in the process of destroying this country, and Kerry seems to be a good guy.
Be passionate about what you believe in, or why bother.

How so? I know it's politically convenient for you to say that, but if you look around, there isn't any destruction and most people are happy.
Asked what he would do differently in Iraq, Kerry said, "Right now, what I would do differently is, I mean, look, I'm not the president, and I didn't create this mess so I don't want to acknowledge a mistake that I haven't made."

          Reg,

          I'm serious with this question.

Both camps seem to have a deep hatered of the other guy. I don't read much in the way of a viable defense of their own guy's record, but, it's a full scale attack on their opponent.

I'd like to hear from both camps, what makes their guy the person to choose. What has he done? What are his policies? What are they proposing that will make our lifestyle better?

            I'm serious with this question.
And I was serious with my answer. It's hard for me to imagine voting for any Democrat over any Republican. The GOP would have to run David Duke or someone like that.

My tastes run a little left of the Democratic party, but more often than not I vote for Democrats on the big tickets. On local issues, I'll vote for whoever will do the best job, regardless.

In this election, though, Bush has pushed his administration so far to the right on so many social issues and he has a disturbing sense of international relations, so I will wholeheartedly support whoever can beat him. I'm going to do a lot of volunteer work this election cycle getting out the vote for Kerry.

There are 10 threads on this everyfuckin day.

You mean to tell me Kev, that you arent smart enough to read them and figure it out?

Read any political thread here. Folks rip and bash the person they arent voting for and praise the person they are.

No need to create a thread to debate it.

Me thinks TheKev likes to see his own name and thread at the top of the page.

Other than the gay marriage issue, how has he socially pushed to the right?

Bush doesn't use uppercase letters or exclamation points enough for my tastes.

It is pretty bad out there. Do you ever even leave your house?
