They gave up a lot to get him but he can be a difference maker for the Leaves if he plays well.

Who wrote this article? It says Leetch "spent his entire 11 year career with the Rangers." It also says that Gonchar "signed" with the Bruins. Huh?

the rangers finally come to terms with the fact they've been finished for a long long time.

i wonder if this will actually have as profound an effect in ticket sales as they really think it will. people don't want to go to the garden to see a team rebuilding? most of the people who go to the garden are suits who show up late, leave early, do a business deal or two, don't even watch the game and then spend $20 on a burger in the play by play cafe. I shit not, when I did the MSG tour, some friends and I were going to get lunch at play by play. We wound up getting a hot dog from a street vendor after previewing the price list.

how many years does Leetch have in his contract? Thats an awful lot if there is a chance he is only a rental player.

I'm pretty sure his contract runs through next season also.

The Rangers will be better with a cast of unknowns than they have been these seven years.
