Cards sign Berkman to one-year deal
The St. Louis Cardinals have announced that they have signed free agent first baseman/outfielder Lance Berkman to a one-year deal. “He’s an impact player who not only helps solidify our everyday lineup, but he also brings a wealth of experience," Cardinals general manager John Mozeliak said in a statement. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Berkman, 34, played 12 seasons for the Houston Astros before being dealt to the New York Yankees last season.... -
