    The St. Louis Cardinals have announced that they have signed free agent first baseman/outfielder Lance Berkman to a one-year deal. “He’s an impact player who not only helps solidify our everyday lineup, but he also brings a wealth of experience," Cardinals general manager John Mozeliak said in a statement.
